Looking for a house mate: I have a ranch-style-two-story home at the southern tip of the Oakland Hills. My home is on a one-acre lot nestled into a hillside and surrounded by trees. Includes: BEDROOM-- $1,350 plus $1,300 deposit, $150 monthly utilities Bedroom with wall-length closet, dark wood bookshelves, carpet, and ceiling fan. Bathroom is private and has full bath tub/shower, tile floor, new toilet and faucet. Parking is on the street and shared driveway parking with other housemate. Common areas are furnished living room, dining room, kitchen and sun deck. These areas receive nice indirect sunshine, have big windows, hardwood floors and a wood-burning fireplace. Sun deck overlooks several oak and pine trees. The walkway in front of the house weaves between tall trees and bushes and leads to a patio area that is nice for sitting outdoors during the spring, summer and fall. There is laundry room with full size washer and dryer. Easy access to Hwys 13 and 580 Ten minute drive to Rockridge Bart Station Short drive to Laurel District, Montclair, Piedmont Ave, Lake Merritt and Lake Shore The neighborhood is quiet: no sidewalks and blocks. Homes are spaced out among the hills and trees. Good neighborhood for walks, running and biking. Joaquin Miller and Redwood East Bay Regional Parks are a short drive away. No pets No smoking Social, casual drinker is okay About me: I am a college professor, active and athletic. I like to run, play golf, read and listen to books, cook and eat healthy food. Love the great outdoors. I live mostly on the lower level of the house in a separate studio. As a result, you and the other house mate will, mostly, have the main level of the home to yourselves. The other house mate is very quite and owns a small business. We have a quite, respectful, considerate household. You must demonstrate viable, stable income and pay rent on time. I do background, credit and reference checks. Looking for someone who is quiet and considerate, who will respect and take care of my home and who will keep the common and her/his private areas clean.
